This volume of Kleronomia includes 19 theological essays and a bibliographic bulletin.

This volume refers to the death of Patriarch Dimitrius A' (1991) and also to the election and enthronement of the present Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew A' (2.11.1991).

Savvas Agouridis makes a biblical and ecclesiological approach of “the word of God”, that is the way in which God relates to humanity. This relation is expressed by divine energies, which are interpreted by God’s words, not only explaining them to man, but also demanding him to respond.

Christodoulos Bilaras presents elements of the personal research ofCh.Kannengiesseron Athanasios the Great. In particular he presents the life and the theological contribution of Athanassios, emphasising the faith and the aim for which he fought.

Athanasios Kalamatas records old and rare printed documents and liturgical publications of the18th centuryfrom the library of Thessaloniki’s Theological Faculty.

George Mantzaridis studies the relation between secularization and Christianity. Secularization is a consequence of Christianity’s presence and challenges Christianity as a whole (doctrine, worship, ethos, collective spirit).

Nikolaos Matsoukas deals with the question of the two “creations” in the work of Gregory of Nyssa, meaning the creation of the historical human being, man and woman, and the creation of the ideal human being, which was the fulfilment of the entire humanity.

AntoinePapadopoulos develops in Italian the synodical institution, its charismatic and unifying character. The text was a lecture in Bari, Italy (17.12.1991).

Metropolitan of Elioupolis and Theia and Athanassios Papas studies the historical and theological explanation of old icons burning, on the Friday of the Holy Unction (at Phanari).

Basil Stavridis describes the institution of offices or dignities of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and adds the relevant Services and bibliography as well.

Metropolitanof Sylivria Emilianosin his work, a lecture in Romania (21.10.1991), answers to the question for the necessity of a liturgical renewal. John Fountoulis studies the possibilities and the obstacles of a liturgical renewal as well. There is also a similar work regarding the Orthodox Church of Saint Thomas (India) by Shanti Verghese.

In the Chronicles there is the historical Message of the Orthodox Churches (Phanari, 13-15.3.1992) followed by a bibliographic bulletin which presents many books of this period.
