Theocharis Detorakis presents the personality of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew A’ on the occasion of being awarded an honorary doctorate by the Department of Philology, Philosophy School at the University of Crete (22.11.1992).

Ioannis Karavidopoulos sets out to examine the description of the Tranfiguration of Jesus on the Mount in the three synoptic evangelists and the apocryphal Apocalypse of Peter in an effort to comprehend the intents of apocryphal authors, in those cases in which they do not express some heretical movement.

Dimitra Koukoura conducts philological and stylistic research on the work “Schiagrafiai Didachon” (“Outline of Teachings”) by Vincent Damodos (1700-1752), manuscript 1196 of the National Library.

Father Gennadios Limouris examines, in French, the history of the Committee “Faith and Order” of the World Council of Churches (from 1948 onwards).

Father Salvatore Manna presents in English a history research about the co-existence of Latin and Eastern traditions in Southern Italy and particularly in the region of Puglia.

Nik. Moutsopoulos researches the architectural characteristics of the Holy Temple of Saint George, East of Meliti (Prefecture of Florina, Greece). The article is richly illustrated.

Father Konstantinos Papagiannis attempts to correct various philological and other types of errors in ecclesiastical hymns.

Miltiadis Polyviou presents an interesting piece of history research about the philanthropic work of Cesare Daponte (1713-1784) from Skopelos island, a Greek scholar of the 18th century, for the reconstruction of the main Church of the Xiropotamos Holy Monastery.

Horst Seidl studies in German the theological interpretation of the Triadic God in the work “De Trinitate” of Holy Augustine.

Vasilios Stavridis looks at the role of laity in the Orthodox ecclesiastical experience (church organisation, worship, family, charity, education). He includes large bibliography on the subject.

Vasiliki Frageskou writes the next text regarding the “Vespers Hymn” of Saint Gregory the Theologian.

Father  Georgios Charamantas presents us with the List of Lerni’s Bishops (Karpathos island) from 1756 to 1888.

Vasilios Pseutogas deals with the issue of the sources between the old and the new Martyrologies, the presence of various God theophanies, theopties, the ways of divine revelation, as well as the presuppositions for it.

Evaggelia A. Varella presents a short paper on Synesius of Ptolemy and his relationship with the craft of goldsmith. A similar paper by the author was published in “Kleronomia” issue 20 (1988).

Last follows an extensive bibliography of works of the period.
